AppFolio's leasing AI is called Realm-X now. Its Leasing Performer replies to leads inside AppFolio, schedules tours and updates guest cards. LetHub runs the leasing itself, answers by text, chat or phone in about 30 seconds, and checks a renter's identity before an access code goes out. Fit depends on your software and your phone.
What happened to AppFolio's Lisa?
The name is retired. As of August 2026, AppFolio's AI page groups four products under one brand: Realm-X Assistant, Realm-X Messages, Realm-X Flows and Realm-X Performers. The leasing one is the Realm-X Leasing Performer, which AppFolio calls agentic AI that takes over the lead to lease process, from nurturing leads to booking tours and updating guest cards. Lisa appears nowhere in the visible copy there, on the AI page, or on the homepage.
The June 2023 capture of that same URL carried a block headed "Lisa, your AI Leasing Assistant". Two traces survive: the images behind today's Realm-X block are still filed as icon_lisa.svg and software-marketing-Lisa.svg.
How do LetHub and AppFolio Realm-X compare?
Six criteria matter here, and only one of them is a number both vendors publish.

That number is speed. AppFolio's own bullet for the Leasing Performer reads "Replies to every lead within minutes, 24/7". LetHub answers in about 30 seconds. For a renter who messaged four managers at once, those differ.
Where AppFolio Realm-X is the better fit
If you already run AppFolio and your leasing problem is consistency rather than coverage, Realm-X is the shorter route: no second system to learn, and it already holds your data. Messages puts every inbound text and email in one inbox, Flows turns your written procedures into automation, and Performers act on signals around the clock. The AI page now leads with Realm-X connecting directly to Anthropic's Claude, announced in June 2026. This is a real product moving quickly.
Check the tier first. On the pricing page all three plans are quote only, Core carries a 50 unit minimum, and the Leasing CRM sits on Max, the top plan.
Where LetHub is the better fit
The phone comes first. Across AppFolio's AI page, its marketing and leasing page and its communication and service page, the channels named for Realm-X are text and email. What about ID verification before a showing?
Both do it, and the earlier version of this page implied otherwise. AppFolio's leasing page lists ID Verification for Showings: knowing who is touring before you hand over access, by making prospects verify identity before they can schedule. Self guided tours sit on the same list.
What differs is where the gate sits, and what LetHub needs to enforce it. The bank level check happens before the access code is released, and it works with smart lockboxes or offline locks with codes rotated after use, so no smart lock fleet is needed. LetHub vs AppFolio Realm-X FAQ
Is Lisa still an AppFolio product?
Not under that name. AppFolio's leasing AI is the Realm-X Leasing Performer as of August 2026, and Lisa is absent from the visible copy on appfolio.com. The archived June 2023 version of that leasing page still shows the old "Lisa, your AI Leasing Assistant" block, which is why the name circulates.
Does Realm-X answer phone calls?
Nothing on AppFolio's AI, leasing or communication pages says it does. The channels those pages name for Realm-X Messages are text and email, and the Leasing Performer replies to leads and books tours. If ringing phones are your problem, that is the gap LetHub's AI voice agent fills.
Can you use LetHub with AppFolio?
